Development Group has completed the sale of the last available
condo in its Bristol West End project near Vanderbilt University.
The Franklin developer said that it closed on the final contract
in the 161-unit building last week, about a year after the
building opened. Bristol West End had been the subject of
a controversy last fall when some buyers, fearful that the
value of their units had fallen or unable to get loans, refused
to close on their units.
Despite
a sluggish local and national housing market, the firm said
it had maintained sales prices throughout the closing period.

"It's not just good news to us," said Charles
Carlisle, the firm's chief executive.
The deal comes as Bristol is closing units in another,
larger condominium, the 418-unit Icon in the Gulch. The
firm had closed 73 units in that building through mid-September,
according to Metro property records.
